The BMBF-funded junior research group IMPETUS started in MIKI on September 01, 2021. The aim of the junior research group is to extend the knowledge management and especially the HiGHmed platform developed in HiGHmed for alphanumeric data by multimedia data and objects. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Björn Schreiweis the platform will be extended to be able to integrate, store and analyze DICOM as well as non-DICOM data. Via the processes of the Medical Informatics Initiative, the data should later also be able to be applied for and used. The funding period of the junior research group is 5 years.
