As part of the appointment of Björn Bergh as Professor for Medical Informatics to Kiel University the Department for Medical Informatics was founded at Insititute for Medical Informatics and Statistics on April 1st 2018. Acompanying Björn Bergh, Tobias Bronsch and Björn Schreiweis also started working in the department.
